National carpet chain Allied Carpets has refreshed it’s stores to move the design away from its previous interiors. Previous stores had been criticised as being “hard to navigate stores and soulless interiors that neither excite nor invite”.
New-look shops have been given trend-focused areas featuring ‘floors of the month’ and black-glass totems to define areas to improve navigation.
Allied Carpets Chief executive Gary Favell comments “The positive steps we are taking now will be welcomed by shoppers who find flooring boring, when in reality a new floor provides a big impact on any home interior.”
Michelle Williams from Artemis Solutions Group who specialise in the retail sector comments “It has been a difficult period for this sector of the retail sector and the new owners are clearly focussed on making the customer experience easier and more enjoyable”
Allied Carpets went into administration in July and was bought out by Hilco’s investment arm Valco.
